I'm just wondering how often everyone weighs themselves and why? Thanks!

when i'm doing good I weigh every single morning...when i've fallen off the wagon I hide it under the dresser.0

I weigh-in and measure every Sunday morning--- but usually I'll check in with where I'm at on Wednesday mornings!! Sometimes you may lose inches and not a lot of weight, which is just as good (which is why I do both)!! Good luck on your journey!0

every wed. morning0

I hit the scales every Thursday morning...measure about every month0

I weigh daily first thing in the morning, and take measurements every Tuesday.0

I rarely do. I try not to have scale-based goals. But whenever I'm feeling really really accomplished, I'll perhaps let myself take a risk of disappointment, usually accompanied with some pride, and weigh myself.0

I am just getting started at MFP, but I will weigh myself weekly, on Sundays.
Though, I am going to try very hard not to get discouraged by the scale. I am going to pay more attention to how my pants fit, than what the scale says.0 -
Every morning.
This is what holds ME accountable. Each person has to do what they are comfortable with. The main thing is to be consistent -- same time, same place, same clothing (or lack thereof :blushing: ), etc.
It's a personal preference. I just know this is what works for me.

EVERY FRIDAY MORNING...ON A EMPTY BLADDER, EMPTY STOMACH AND AFTER I'VE BEEN AWAKE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR...0

Whew.....I thought it was just me. I also weigh myself every morning when Im good and hide it when Im not.....:noway:0

I weigh myself daily and record it on here weekly. By weighing everyday, it keeps me more accountable. If I do have a high calorie day and gain a pound or two, I can get it off by being aware. I measure myself at least once a month because sometimes when you aren't losing on the scales, you are losing inches. Best of luck to you:)0

Everyday at 5pm or first thing in morning. Comes pretty close to each other.0

I weigh every day in the morning. However, I have chosen a day, Thursday, that I weigh myself to count once a week. So, I only log weigh ins on Thursday.0
-
I try to weigh myself weekly, or at the very least every 10 days. If I think the results are good and might motivate me, I'll weigh myself twice a week! I also keep a graph of my average weight for the month based on all my weigh-ins during the month.0

Every Wednesday I do my weight.....
Measurements are done on friday mornings by a friend at work!!!!
I know it hard...but try not to weight yourself everyday!!!! That is just my suggestion!!!!!0 -
i weigh in once a week & measure every two weeks.why weigh your self daily it would drive me nuts waiting for it to go down.0

I don't have a scale out at school, so I can only weigh myself when I go home. I go home about once a month. I actually prefer this, because I don't freak out about small gains and I see bigger losses in that longer time frame.0

I weight myself every morning, but don't worry too much the daily stuff as I do the weekly total. I measure once a month at Curves.0

I used to weigh once a week, then bumped it back to one every two weeks. It used to be Monday morning I'd weigh in, but I've switched to Friday because I feel that is a more accurate weight since I do really well during the week and tend to slip on the weekends.
I remeasure my waist, arms, legs, hips, etc every 15 days.0 -
I weight myself once a week, the same day, around the same time (within the same hour) and I do this to make myself accountable for the week. If I gain then I work harder the coming week and look at my food intake and what I can change.0
-
I weigh myself every other morning after I'm awake and empty my bladder.0

every morning! like many of the other posters it just reminds me why I'm doing this and keeps me on track.. But I only "count" my weigh in on Tuesday mornings... it can be tempting when Monday is a great number to use it, but I refuse to log it unless it happens on Tuesday!0

I tend to take a peek at the scale every morning but I don't consider it an "official" weigh-in until I hit the scale on Friday mornings.0

I've been weighing myself everyday since I officially decided I'm in maintenance mode. Plus, now that I have a scale at home and don't rely on the one at the gym -- I've learned a lot about how my weight fluctuates each day. I'm heavier in the morning than I am at night. I can gain/lose 5lbs through the day. As long as I'm in the 148-153lbs range -- I'm happy.
I measured myself last night for the first time in a year. I need to do that more often too. Now that I have a new place to start, I'm going to try and do it once a month or every 6 weeks.0 -
I weigh pretty much every morning first thing and then at night before bed to see how much I fluctuate. Before mfp I would fluctuate up to 6 lbs in a day but since starting this journey I only fluctuate 1-2 lbs in a day. I like to keep an eye on my daily progress and make adjustments as needed. I only record my weight once a week though and that is normally on Fridays.0

I weigh daily - first thing in the mornings; but put my weight in when it looks good. Measuring I have only done once a week.0
-
I weigh in every morning, that helps me to see, if I'm doing right with my eating and excercises.0

Wow, more people weigh daily than I thought. I weigh daily when I can, always first thing in the morning. I either take my measurements every week or every other week; it just kind of depends. I just find it a little depressing if I gain any weight...although I do know that when you weigh every day that's pretty much inevitable... :frown:0
