Started on MFP in 2013 after using Weight Watchers ap. Wanted to use free platform. Loved using it. Also at work we have ongoing fitness challenges I participated in. Then in 2014 we had a lot of trama and I lost 3 family members in 4 months. In 2014 December after 6 months of trying to figure out a bad back I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This is like a bone marrow cancer. I have 6 rounds of chemo shot and bone strengthener and steriods. Next I go into hospital for 30 days and they will harvest my own stem cells to do a bone marrow transplant. Pretty cool hey?

In the meantime I am going to use MFP to make sure I am taking in enough food. Even though I can't walk vigorously like before I am going to put the Fitb Bit back in just to track daily walking. Also I need to add in resistance training for my arms which I am allowed to do

As far my treatment it is traditional but ny nutrition is all organic. I do have access to 2 farmers markets weekly and supplement from store.

That is my crazy, wild story and my reason to get back on MFP and track.

I am 59. Lucky enough to have a husband of 40 year lovingly helping me through. Work for a great company and have 3 great adult children and extended family support. Friends and co-workers praying for me daily are added inspiration.

My challenge is to keep my eating regular, organic/sustainable, do my arm work. Will weigh in tomorrow to get starting point.

Have so much to look forward to, getting healthy, appreciating and lovin' life. Thinking be back on MFP will be fun. My little group of early on encourages helped me with my weight loss. (5 people originally) Looks like 3 are still in feed 2 buddies and my daughter-in-law. Can't wait to track with them again!
