Knees, back, and shoulders, oh my! Injured, injured, and frustrated.

I'm looking for something I generally don't seek from forums: advice.
This is a bit of a long story with a lot of background info. To avoid wasting your time I'll use bullet points.
What you need to know about me-
Timeline of events which lead me here-
~sigh~
So basically I lost all my fitness while on bed rest, then injured myself in several creative ways and now can't exercise without pain. If I walk a mile my knees bother me, my ankle joints swell and I gimp for days. I feel like I can't do anything and it's very frustrating.
I guess what I'm looking for from you guys is similar experiences and how you worked through them.

What you need to know about me-
- haven't worked out since summer 2013
- fairly experienced with strength training.
- I am a form and safety FREAK in the gym
- I've never suffered any injuries from fitness training but . . .
- I seem to hurt myself all the time in other ways
Timeline of events which lead me here-
- up until summer 2013-very physically fit and active
- Summer 2013-became pregnant with third child
- October 2013-placed on partial bed rest due to complications with pregancy
- December 2013-placed on more strict bed rest
- early March 2014-my son was born, happy and healthy, 8#15oz
- late March 2014-postpartum hemorrhage from which I nearly bled to death and was hospitalized
- May 2014-hemoglobin had recovered to 14, finally no longer anemic! Began walking for fitness
- June 2014-resumed horseback riding(I'm a trainer), fell off while jumping and injured my back
- September 2014-was thrown, rupturing my MCL
- Through January 2015-healed
- January 2015-resumed exercise
- February 2015-injured rotator cuff while clearing brush in our yard
~sigh~

You need to live in a bubble!
Try pool exercises so you can heal up and go to a physical therapist!0 -
LMAO. That's what my fiancé says!
I don't have access to a pool and phys therapy is out of the financial equation.
Other thoughts?
LOL0 -
I also live fast and find myself injured more often than not (including right now, alas).
Oof, pool running or aquarobics were my best thoughts. (I wouldn't swim-swim until that rotator cuff is healed up.)
What about a recumbent (chair) bike or recumbent stationary bike? And, not to be mean or anything, but it sounds like a stationary bike might work out a little better for you. That seems like it would protect your back and your knees. You might not be able to crank the resistance, but you could still get your sweat on with some fast-cadence pedaling.
As for the emotional side, what other hobbies do you have that you are or could be awesome at?0 -
Thanks for the encouragement. Unfortunately all my hobbies are either very physical or not physical at all. I do genealogy research and cook. Mmmmmm. Great for fitness!
I hadn't thought of a stationary bike. Thanks!0
