I might not be much help, as I'm not that great at computer stuff like this, but I'll try. What's the program it's saved in? Powerpoint?

Yes, it does make a difference. You could see if there is a compatibility patch from microsoft and try to open it that way.

Try this link, use Internet Explorer or microsoft gripes about it. In theory, it should work :-)

    - How did you get it to your home PC?
    - Is it a .ppt or .pptx file?

Did your friend have a copy of it that they could open? Have them save it as just a .ppt instead of a .pptx (Save As- drop down menu at the bottom of the window and then save as (I think) 97-03 powerpoint.) and send it to you.

Search for a windows 2007 to windows 2003 converter. You should be able to find a free one online. Download it. Here's one that may work. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466

It may change the look of your document (and your capabilities), but you should be able to work on it. If you are presenting it at school on their 2007 version you will need to re-convert it back to the 2007 version. It's possible, but it's been a long time since I've done it and I can't really remember. Is there an IT guy for your computer lab? I'd hit them up. For future reference, you can save your 2007 powerpoint to a 2003 version at school. Choose "Save As" then choose the "Save as Powerpoint 97-2003 Presentation"...this way you won't have problems working on it at home.
