Free lunch at work

I've been doing training at work this week and they cater in lunches for the class. I swear, free food is THE HARDEST to turn down, but I have been doing so well! I've been bringing my own lunch from home and resisting the ubiquitous cookies. You have to set yourself up for success, and sometimes that means having good alternatives! I enjoyed my clementine greatly this afternoon :)

So they only cater in cookies? That's not much of a lunch.

    There's nothing besides cookies?

No, it's various things but there seems to always be cookies to go along with it! Today was Chick Fil A.

i can see resisting the cookies, and bringing along a fruit if that's what you want, for sure. But don't think that denial of all foods other than what you bring from home is always going to work. In the long run, learning to eat other foods in moderation will lead to long term success better than self-denial, which can lead to bingeing or failure.

It's hard not to give in once in a while. You could always split a cookie with someone. Also, if it's at all possible, go for a quick walk before you eat. Maybe you'll get lucky and the cookies will be gone when you get back.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.
