Meal Bars

Is it bad to have a meal bar as a meal replacement? I've been having a Vega or Atkinson meal bar instead of lunch. What are people's thoughts on this?

It's fine, as long as you're satisfied with it.
But, I'm just saying, only because I've seen a lot of posts about bars and shakes lately.... there is no magical bar, or shake, they will make you lose weight / gain muscle.
In order to lose weight, you need to be in a caloric deficit. If you prefer to eat whole foods instead of bars / shakes.... go for it, it's all fine. Just make sure you can make this a life change, and not a temporary diet fad.0 -
If you have a meal bar for your meal, then it is your meal. It's not "replacing" anything. If it satisfies you and helps meet your nutrition requirements, it's fine.0

It's not good or bad as long as you're meeting your calorie/macro goals.
I've used bars (Clif Builder Bars, etc.) in a pinch for breakfast on the go but I'll usually only eat them if I got in a big workout (burned 1,000+ cal) and need to eat something.0 -
I eat a Quaker or Nature Valley protein bar every morning for breakfast. I try not to replace lunch or dinner with one; however, I always keep a bar in my purse in case I'm going to miss a meal then I'll eat it so I'm not ravenous and overindulge later.0
