You can do it!! Make a conscious effort to change. I was the biggest junk food junkie and I decided "It's time to change!" and I did. Explore new foods that are good for you, look at other people's food diaries to get ideas for food, and you will have a lot of motivation and help from everyone on here.
Don't get discouraged if you fall off track, just realize the choices you made, and start over.
Good luck!!0 -

tracking you calories etc is a good way...it makes you consious of what you're eating and how bad it is for you.
Try tracking your food for a week (being honest) and see what your calorie intake is....that should motivate you! Remember the first week is the hardest - try and snack on fruit, or drink water if you feel hungry!
After the first week you won't notice your hunger as much!
Plus if you weigh in each week you will see the benefits. I use a tanita scale which shows you body fat % and fat mass etc. once you see it moving in the right direction it should motivate you...it will also make you feel guilty when you cheat! - I had Dominos (2,000 cals) last night for dinner and not only did I sleep badly from the excess fat, sugar and salt. but I woke up feeling bloated and like I should go for a run or do some exercise to try and burn it off!
Set your self goals and something to aim for. Have a treat night, so 1 night a week you can look forward to that naughty food/chocolate/curryetc! have a dress/jeans or occasion to aim to lose weight for.
Good luck....

I am the same way - I know everything I need to know aBout nutrition but easily fall off the wagon. I like this website because it tells you how each meal or snack effects your daily totals. It also tracks the impact of exercise on what you can eat. Having it on my mobile means it's constantly with me. Good luck!0

Make your food diary public to your MFP friends. It might make you think about what you eat because you'll have to log it where your friends can see it. I also find motivation by viewing other diaries. Wishing you well!0
