Going through a breakup too?

My long term relationship just ended, and I'm trying to stay motivated and committed...and busy...The past few days have been hard, I haven't been able to eat, at all (which is a shocker for me, I'm usually the one who turns to food for comfort..but this has been a stress and sadness that I must have been yet to experience)
I don't want to NOT eat and then turn back to my old ways of overeating. I know it takes time and all those cliches (and I know they are true but it's hard to believe right now)
Anyway, I'm not new to MFP, but I'm new to the forums, I only started participating and writing a few days ago. I've always just used MFP on and off for tracking (and just started again, 42 days strong!)
Looking for some friends who are either in my situation or just anyone positive and motivating that wants to be friends on here

You've already taken the first step to getting better and that is using the MFP app. Now is the best time to focus on YOU. Do no over eat, do not under eat. Be healthy, better yourself. Make an effort to have a higher quality of life. Don't let another person be the reason you do not accomplish your goals. You are doing great *sending positive vibes your way*

aww thank you so much @jazmin220
I definitely don't want to let him be the reason I don't move forward, and I have moments of clarity and am rational, and then something switches and I'm just..sad again.
Trying to move forward! Will definitely add you, thanks!0 -
I know exactly what you are going through! I am always here to chat and to provide support and motivation. Just remember do not overeat and do not under eat. I know it's hard but remember that right now you need to care about you! Don't let someone else's actions dictate your happiness and well being.
Focus on loving you. When you love yourself others will see that and will love you as well. Turn the sadness into motivation. Go to the gym and show him what he'll be missing!
That's what I am doing at least!
If you ever need to chat feel free to add me and message me. I'm here for ya!0 -
I am going through the same thing....it is hard. Some days I eat nothing and other days I eat crap. I am waiting for it to balance out (I know it will). Just know you aren't alone and things happen for a reason. Think of all the positives and try to focus on those (if you are at a place where you can do that yet).0

Feel free to add - my boy and I weren't together long, but the breakup really sucked.0

Something to motivate a few of you: 90 days is the typical turn around time where a lot of exes figure out that they made a mistake and come back around.
If you want them back, fine. If you don't, good time to flaunt your hard work and exercise.0 -
Oh girl I know what you're going through. I'm the same way when it comes to food (normally eating and now you can't swallow anything). I've been through this enough to know any words people say aren't going to help much. If anything, excersing will. Improve yourself, push yourself, and show him/her what they lost! Most importantly do all of these things for yourself because this is YOUR life and we've all got one to live! You will get through this stay strong and sweaty!0

I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years a month ago today.. I've been comfort eating, but i'm maintaining my weight because of the gym!
It'll get better soon I'm sure, for both of us! Just need to keep going... xxx0 -

I know with time it will get better, but right now it seems so far off. I'm at 109 days tracking and still going strong! Let's all keep up the good work.
