Anyone any idea how many calories you burn doing an hour of zumba firness? I'm a newbie Thanks :drinker:

    I've estimated 400. I'll be wearing my new HRM at my next class to find out how many for sure (for me, anyway).

    i usually put in an hour of areobic dance as i dont know and go to zumba every week

    so any help on this would be great as well xx

    I have read 500-1200. The people in my class with HRM usually hit 700-800.

    Hi Im new to this so probably asking dumb questions!!

    Is HRM a heart rate monitor? If so how do you work out from that what calories you are burning?

    I don't think it is a dumb question, I haven't been on here for very long as I mainly use my phone to log calories, so I had to google hrm too lol. It is heart rate monitor, I just bought one from ebay, mine is a watch, it takes your pulse and regarding your weight, age and sex it somehow tells you an average of how many calories you have burnt
