Has anyone done the warrior dash? I really want to do this, but I would like some of your input on it. I just started the c25k program (on week 3) so I think I"m going to wait until next year to do it. Any suggestions? Was it really hard? I'm gonna do it Oct. 1st. There are people of all strengths, you can walk if you need to slow down, others do the same. It's finishing thats the important part. You can do it!! Just go at your own pace and don't worry about anyone else.0

Whatever you do, don't miss this opportunity. Its so much fun and the people there are amazing.
Even if you don't have anyone to run with, sign up anyways. I promise you will not regret it!0 -
I am doing my first one on 9/10/11 and next year I am going to try Tough Mudder!0

Congrats on starting C25K!! You are going to love it. I agree with some other posters and SIGN UP!! It is an amazing experience, the people are wonderful no matter if you finish first or are crawling your way to the finish line, and it's so much freaking fun!
I just did the MS Mud Run which is a 10K version. Very similar to the warrior dash (which I will be doing when it comes to MO in October). It was my first mud run and I'm addicted. Plus there is always beer at the finish line Training tips - keep running, add in some core and upper body exercises, run once with wet/muddy shoes. (I was shocked how heavy my tennis shoes were after the first mud pit I went through.) This will give you an idea of the gear you need to wear for the day of the race.0 -
I did my first Warrior Dash (oh yes, there will be more) last month and it was a BLAST! I would HIGHLY recommend it - you'll have a great time! I'd say it was a moderate level of intensity - not too easy but not too hard. I will be honest, I didn't train for it at all...me and my friend just signed up and showed up pretty much.
My finish time was not what I would've liked it to be from a fitness perspective (about a 16minute mile - lol!), but from a fun perspective it was a great time. It's inspired me to start running more, though, so that next time I can run through it!
I agree with nikki_zav: whether you're the first to the finish or the last one crawling out of the mud....it will be the craziest fun day you've had!0 -

I did mine April 30. I had a BLAST and it is not very hard at all. You can walk the entire way and crawl slowly over the obstacles if you need to.0 -
Warrior Dash next year is the goal my friend and I set for our reason to get in shape. Always heard such great things about it, I can't wait to go!0
