Are you kidding me!!??

I was just e-mailed by MY Fitness Pal a recipe for "Low Carb Sausage & Vegetable Egg Bake." You have to be kidding me. A small piece has 20 grams of fat and 10 grams of saturated fat with 355 mg of cholesterol. It's 387 cal and is sure not to fill you up. No wonder it's "yummy." This is irresponsible. Eat enough of things like this at my age and I'll be dead in a year. Carbs are not the enemy, get over it. Fat is the enemy and saturated fat is the death star. Fiber is our friend!

Neither fat nor carbs are the enemy. Higher than needed calorie intake is the enemy. Double your calories a day is the death star. MFP is our friend!

Fear of fat is so last century and cholestrol in your food is not cholesterol in your bloodstream.

    http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/sausage-vegetable-egg-bake/ - what are "chicken sausages" ?

The recipe is intended to be Low Carb for those MFP members who for various reasons, such as diabetics, who need to monitor and limit carbs. If you don't like the numbers, don't make it.

I was emailed recipes the other day from MFP that said "healthy crockpot" meals, I forgot the exact name of the content and these recipes were totally the highest carbs, sodium, and fat I have ever seen in a serving. And nothing was cooking it with low sodium, low fat, ingredients.

I might as well eat cake and ice cream.

Cake and Ice Cream can very well be part of a healthy diet

Good thing no one's forcing you to eat it, then.

It may not fit your calories or macros (carbs, fat, and protein), but it may work for others (like me). MFP has a huge user-base. They can't send out stuff that only applies to you or only to me. There will be somethings that you have to ignore.

Also, to note, fat is not the enemy. Fat is actually good in your diet. It helps lubricate your joints and keeps things flowing digestively speaking. Also, newer studies are proving that the link between cholesterol in your food and having high blood cholesterol isn't there like has been previously believed.

I've heard Unicity is a company that offers supplements and products to help you lose weight. I think the above poster is saying he lost 7 lbs his first week on Unicity.

I lost 8 lbs my first week on MFP eating my regular diet just in smaller portions. LOVE MFP
