Best Fitness Trackers

Okay- so I am wanting to get a good, but reasonably priced, fitness tracker. I've read and read about the different ones offered, but I would like some personal experience. What is the best tracker you've found for the most reasonable price?

All depends on the features you want. I love, love my Forerunner! It tracks my HR, distance, elevation gain, and pace. After I'm done it draws maps of my travels and shows me minute-by-minute or hour-by-hour how I performed including estimated calories burned.
Then again, they tend to run more than Fitbits.0 -
I've got the Jawbone Up Move which is the round one that clips on. I've found it to be pretty good, especially for a £40 price tag. It doesn't track roller skating (a bit niche for them i guess) and it didn't track my run the other day very well but i think i may need to calibrate it.
It does hook up to loads of other apps like map my fitness and MFP so I'm going to see how i go.0 -

I have the Jawbone UP24. I've only had it for 4 days so far, but I'm in love with it. I like that it looks like a bracelet and not like a watch.0

Unless walking is your primary form of exercise, my suggesting is to not track steps throughout day. Its better to underestimate calories burned as opposed to overestimate if your goal is weight loss. Therefore, if running is your primary form of exercise, yeah look into a Garmin or even a Polar GPS running watch.
That said, things like step challenges & online social communities get people more active than would otherwise be active. If that's a big motivator, then I would look at a Fitbit.
My Garmin suggestion is the 210, which because its an older model can be found highly discounted with included extras like a foot pod for treadmill use.
The Polar M400 is dcrainmaker's current recommended mid level running watch recommendation, so while I have no experience with it he's seen more fitness devices than I ever will and I defer to his expertise.0 -
I do a lot of running and strength training mostly. I rarely bike, never swim, and typically don't do the HIIT or dance workout type classes.
I would like something that tracks at least steps and heart rate. I don't necessarily need something to track sleep but it would be interesting to see since I have sleep apnea (definitely not a deal breaker though).0
