I try to avoid eating out when I can, I cook at home most nights and pack my breakfast/lunch. But occasionally I like to eat out for dinner. Does anyone have a good app for ANDROID that gives reliable nutritional info with a wide variety so that I can make the best choices possible?

MFP seems to have the most comprehensive database I have found. Also, many chain restaurants have nutritional info on their own websites. For non-chain restaurants ask the server, but don't expect them to know. You just have to guess the best you know how. I browse the MFP database and choose something similar. For example, there is a local pizza place that has really good deep dish pizza that I like to treat myself to from time to time. I just put in the entry from UNO's and make a note of it in my diary.

Just Google "Name of restaurant nutrition info" and you'll get the entire menu with calorie and macro breakdowns

This. Mom and Pop places won't have it but any chain restaurant should.
  • I plan what I will eat before I go to the resturant. I find the menu online and check to see I nutrition is listed if not I google the components of the meal and determine the best I can which to eat. Or you can usually request something not on the menu if you don't find something that fits your meal goals. There is also the option of asking the server for nutrition information but I find I easier to plan ahead.
