hey so here's the thing, i loved jacket spuds, i think they're easy and they fit in too my meal prep incredibly well but is one for part of my lunch and one for part of dinner too much everyday?

my carb intake is around 45% usually but i don't know. i don't slather them in sour cream and cheese or anything so is it okay on a leaning out diet?

    Too many for what?

If they fit your nutrient and caloric intake for the day then have at them.

Are you in a calorie deficit still? Are you getting your other macros and micros typically when doing this?

A leaning out diet can include anything, so as long as you are in a calorie deficit and getting a good amount of protein, typically resistance training is recommended, too but I'm getting off topic.

I ate Talenti by pints and leaned out, so I'm sure under similar circumstances the same could be done with potatoes

How long have you been eating this many potatoes?

If that's your recent profile pic, I'd say they're not a problem

It's up to you. Are you following your macros religiously? Doesn't seem like it. Eat however many potatoes you like as long as you are still in a deficit.

If you're trying to get more lean then you probably need to look into your deficit a little more

i don't know al that much about deficits but all i know is that my personal trainer is always telling me to eat more and that i need atleast 2300 calories a day at minimum. if i'm eating around 2000 calories a day i'm happy...all the numbers and maths just over complicate something that i enjoy way too much

Till you have a specific goal- then those numbers and maths become really important.

But if you are happy the way you are and are only trying to keep wellness/health and fitness up as they are- and you're current diet isn't inhibiting that- carry on.

A guy walks into the doctor's office. A banana stuck in one of his ears, a potato in the other ear, and a carrot stuck in one nostril. The man says, "Doc, this is terrible. What's wrong with me?" The doctor says, "Well, first of all, you need to eat more sensibly."

Nutritionist told me that potatoes can be good for you if cooked "al dente", but that they just turn to sugar if overcooked....and most of the time we always overcook them. Take that for whatever it's worth :)

I'm of the opinion that potatoes are borderline "super foods" (even though I hate that term). They get a bad rap because 90% of the time they're eaten fried and/or slathered in butter.
