More calories, less carbs?

I'm trying to be more restrictive of my bad carb intake. But whenever I do that, it significantly lowers my calorie intake, even though I still feel full. How can I ensure that I'm getting enough calories with less carbs?

Why do you feel you need to lessen carbs? Do you have a medical condition?

I just started a low-carb diet 5 days ago, mainly because I realized I eat too much pasta and not enough vegetables. I've lost 3 pounds, which I'm sure is mostly water, but I'm determined to say good-bye to the extra weight once and for all! As I see it, if I'm not hungry or feeling poorly, then I'm probably getting enough calories with less carbs.

    Carbs aren't evil.

    You need them, right?

Increase your protein, and make sure you still have healthy carbs. What is your definition of bad carbs?
