I'm doing a 4 week boot camp. It comes with a meal plan. I'm working hard and I'm 5 lbs down in 2 weeks...but I'm starving. I'm eating about 1000 calories a day with a 30-60 min workout a day (except 1). I'm not sure how I'm going to keep this up. I don't want to gain it all back once I'm "back to normal." Advise?

1000 calories a day is not enough, especially if you're working out. need to eat more. you should not be starving. i was never starving when dieting.

Eat. Your body is telling you you're not getting enough.

You will gain it back if you're eating 1000 calories a day. It is too little and not sustainable. Set my fitness pal up to help you with your calorie goals.

mfp suggests 1200 at a minimum. if you are set to 1200 calories, you are supposed to also eat back exercise calories and therefore will be eating more than 1200.

Yep, your program is way too aggressive. Use MFP to compute your caloric requirements, set the target to lose 1lb a week, add in the Calories burned from exercise and go from there. You aren't far from your goal weight dropping over 2lbs a week isn't really necessary. What you want is to adjust your lifestyle to a lower weight, not a crash diet that you can't sustain. Otherwise you will end up gaining the weight back because you can't stay on the diet for very long.

You will most likely gain at least some of the weight back. If you want to keep the weight off you should set your calorie level to maintenance when the program ends. Continuing to exercise when the program is over can help, but you do not have to stay at the same level if your only goal was weight loss.
