Garmin Forerunner 15 Questions

I have started using my Garmin Forerunner 15 to track my daily activity. However, just walking through out my daily routine gives me wayyyyy too many calories when I sync to my fitness pal. It gives me back more calories than an entire daily calorie goal for me. For example it said that I burned 1800 calories over the course of the day and eventhough I had eaten all 1200 calories for that day, it told me I had 1800 cals still to consume....which made my projected weight loss look insane, as if I had done P90X all day, everyday.
How do I fix this or even interpret what my calorie burn actually was for my daily activity?
Any help would be soooooo helpful, thanks!

I'm not sure you'll love my answer, but here it is:
I gave my fiance the FR15 for Christmas. We've basically decided that the *calorie* counting feature is worthless. (My FR220 for running gives me very unrealistic calorie burns, too). He just uses it to track his steps/activity each day and make sure he is moving around enough. (It works great for him--he's always competing against himself to score more steps than the day before or the same day last week).
He then uses MFP to set a target calorie level for sedentary or lightly active lifestyle depending on the season and his job responsibilities. He un-synced his Garmin and MFP to avoid, as you observe, Tony Horton All Day Every Day.0 -
Yeah, that is what I am going to do too. I think that it will be a very useful tool to challenge myself from day to day, but completely ridiculous to sync to my fitness pal because it makes it as if I would be losing a pound or two per day when I haven't done anything else except my regular walking throughout my day to day life. Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad someone else thought this was odd too.0
