Is the fitbit charge a good step tracker? And is it easy to use and understand?

I love my Fitbit. I, however, don't sync it to MFP because I find it tracks exercise calories more accurately using its own numbers instead of MFP's numbers. I just enter my food calories in here and then go enter them manually in the Fitbit app.

It's pretty much plug-and-play as far as ease of use. It's pretty simple. The only things I think that were a little confusing were some of the sensitivity settings. I have it set as being on my dominant hand(I have a Flex) regardless of which hand I'm actually wearing it on, because it logs too many steps if I set it to non-dominant. Also, the sleep tracker is a nice bonus, but not particularly accurate. It's either too sensitive to motion or not sensitive enough depending on the settings. As a step counter, though, I love it.

Perfect. That's all I honestly want it for. I just wanted to know that it would track my steps accurately. I'm going to pick up one before work tonight. I'm dying to see how many steps I have in 12 hours of works lol. Thank you! I appreciate the feedback!
  • Yes, I love my charge and it's much more accurate then the previous flex I had. I don't have the HR model but others that I know who have it say the battery life on it is terrible, 1-3 days. My normal charge usually holds the battery life for 7 days before needing to be plugged in again.

I have the HR and it seems to be as accurate as one would expect.
I have MFP and Fitbit linked. Food is entered into MFP, activites enterd into FitBit.
I like it that FitBit is my TDEE so I am changing the amount of calories I eat on a daily basis. My body never adjusts and becomes comfortable at a set amount.

I have mine set to Dominant hand and wear it on my non-dominant hand. That seems to really increase the accuracy.
I have the call ID feature turned off on the HR and I"m getting about 4 days out of a battery charge.
