Balancing calories and blood sugars

im doing good so far I think but I need to figure out how to stretch my calorie thought out the day in small amounts to keep my sugars level. My calories is 1700 and any help would be greatly appreciated! All my doctor says is to eats thought out the day.... But I really want to lose some weight.

Hello, I also have problems with low blood sugars. I try to eat every few hours.I am an ICU Nurse so this can be tricky at times to even get a break, let alone eat something.My go to snacks with protein which help me regulate my blood sugars are: hard boiled eggs,cheese, Greek Yogurt, Peanut Butter and protein bars. I always keep a protein bar in my purse and I keep a pack of the Star Kist 100 calorie tuna pouches in my lunch box. I hope this helps:)0

You might need to pre-plan what you eat, including snacks. So that way you know that the whole day will fit into your calorie goals. And, bonus, you won't be making food choices while hungry (a thing I personally hate).
I also personally find that I need a lot of protein and fat for *every* snack or meal. No cereal and fruit for me, it really can't be a huge carb fest. You may need to look at what you're eating to see if changing it up would help.
When you feel the worst is also important to know. Do you struggle more between breakfast and lunch, for example? You may need to eat a different breakfast, move the timing of breakfast, bring an extra robust snack to eat between, etc.
And you MAY be able to reduce the calories on your meals accordingly. I could eat my whole breakfast, or half my breakfast, and I'd still be hungry in two hours. Pretty sure I could eat a whole pizza for breakfast and be hungry in two hours. I'm just weird. So I could basically eat a lighter breakfast and plan a snack, making the calories fit easier, and feel about as good as if I'd eaten my whole breakfast and had a snack on top.0
