Yes, there are quirky results in the database. Find the entries the most people have verified and use those.0

I get other weird things happening... I'll add 8 ounces of Chicken Breast to my diary on my desktop and later on when I check on my tablet it says 8 cups and I'm way over my calorie goal, but on my desktop it'll stay as ounces.0

Here are some tips on searching the Food Database.
Search for eggs in the format "eggs - whole"
Search for vegetables in the format "vegetable - raw"
Search for fruit in the format "fruit - raw"
Search for raw meat in the format "chicken - meat raw" or "beef - meat raw"
Search for cooked meat in the format "chicken - meat cooked" or "beef - meat cooked"
These searches should bring up the MFP-entered items at the top of the search list, identified by no asterisk on the Web version, or no Brand / Restaurant or Generic identification on the mobile apps.
You can also add USDA to the search, but those items are user-entered and could be inaccurate.0 -
Thanks all - not just me then0

Stop looking for the potassium. The FDA does not require it to be on package labels.0

In my nutrition goals it tells me I need loads of sodium and potassium - but neither seems to be there in significant numbers. Should I just ignore them?0

I make sure I use the ones that have the potassium listed, by perhaps not actually listing the brand I used (because it has a - in the potassium space) but another similar in calorie and other counts with an actual number in the potassium. I still have trouble coming even close to my goal though, unless I have milk or OJ at every meal wih a serving of potatoes or bananas too.0

Just because you don't track potassium, doesn't mean others don't want too. I too track it and that is because in the past, I was extremely low per blood tests and the doctor put me on prescription potassium. (when I started to track it, I was only eating 500 to 700mg. MFP says 3500 and other sites (like "American Heart *kitten*", Diabetic sites, nutritional sites) all seem to say 4700. I now track it and average between 3500 to 4700. So just remember, just because a value doesn't seem to be something you want to track, there may be reasons for others to track them (potassium, iron, etc)0 -
Also, most people are trying to get up to the potassium, and stay under the sodium.0
