panicking (but only a little)

I'm starting to freak out just a bit...haven't been able to work out since last Thursday. I've been stuck at 131lbs for a little while. I was supposed to work out today but I had to schedule an appointment during my workout time. I'm so afraid my progress is going to go backwards. I can't get unstuck and today is no longer a workout day...I guess I'm losing hope of getting unstuck.

You need to schedule your workouts like you do your appointments! Block it on your calendar/phone etc. I know people who work out at 5 am and people who have to do it at 10 pm (like me!) due to schedules. Where there's a will there's a way!

All that is needed for weight loss is a calorie deficit which can be created by food alone.

Ironically, it may work in your favor. Remember gains in the gym and loss of fat has a LOT to do with confusing your body. If you are in the gym X days a week doing the same thing over and over, your body is used to it. The time off may make a bigger impact when you go back and your body is "like WTF?! - I don't remember this, so let me hit the fat stores".

My trainer also recommended to me to take a solid week off every 3 months anyway to allow your body to completely recover.

Don't panic too much. Stay the course, and don't live int he wreckage of your future. You don't know what it holds.

I have it scheduled but I'm having big problems with my tonsils so I didn't have much of a choice:/

Can you go for a walk or do something around the house? Even just a little movement so you stay motivated?

I would go for a walk but I don't get home until after dark and it's so cold here. If it was warmer that's what I'd be doing but for now I need things I can do inside.

YouTube workout videos - or grab some DVD's for days like this!
