Summer Heat

Today was the first truly miserable day of the year. It got up to 90, and it was so humid my walls were sweating and slimy. My whole life I've been really sensitive to high temps, I break out in a huge sweat if I just walk from one building to another outside.

I ask those of you who have gone though major weight loss, does it get easier to be in the heat? Do you feel cooler without all that "insulation" built-in?

If I knew I could feel somewhat comfortable this August, I'd work my butt off literally. I can't stand the thought of another miserable summer.

I started at 204 and am currently 177. I have noticed that I am running on "cold" lately....where as usually I'm running on HOT. So I'm thinking it does help. I live in Arizona...it's hot...thank God not so humid! I hope you will start feeling a difference as you continue to shed the pounds...keep going! :)

I have definitely gotten colder as the pounds have dropped, so don't hesitate to let the promise of less "insulation" motivate you!

Oh, I won't! Usually on the first hot day of the year my instinct is to just get a haircut, now I'll be working hard!

We don't have high humidity where I live, so it may not be directly comparable, but I am enjoying every hot day so far much more than I have in years after dropping my weight since this winter.

I think I'm definitely less sweaty after dropping 20 lbs, and I get colder much easier
But when it's super humid, I think everyone feels it
