The only one I eat is the Lucerne brand I get at Tom Thumb (Safeway). It's the 4% small curd with 110 calories per half cup., and coincidentally it is in my diary for dinner tonight. I'm not one to pair mine with fruit, I love lots of fresh ground black pepper.
The reason I only eat this one is I love the taste of it. I have tried other brands but they never taste as good to me, especially Daisy. It had a funk about it.

I always had problems with cottage cheese. When my kids were little, they spit up, a lot, and that is what it looks like to me. I usually hide it in things by either blending it, or mixing it up with other ingredients so that it no longer looks like cottage cheese. It goes great with oatmeal, because they have the same texture. It also works well for pancakes, cheesecakes, shakes, and puddings.

Look for kinds that don't have any ingredients that seem weird in cottage cheese. Like thickening agents... bleh!

    I eat Daisy 2%.

I like kraft natural 2%. My wife likes 4% daisy so we get both. I finished mine a week ago and threw hers out spoiled today.

Go with one that's basically "Milk, salt" for ingredients.

    Daisy is my brand!

I eat Kraft 2% Simply Cottage Cheese myself. It's yummy. Although I haven't tried any different brands for comparison I guess. I only just developed a love for cottage cheese a couple months ago. Before that, I had never even tried it.

Fat-free low sodium cottage cheese is VERY unhealthy, because it tastes like sadness and sawdust, leading to low self-esteem.

    lmao!

I eat cottage cheese all the time, 2%, with hot salsa. I also love it with mango peach salsa.

Definitely don't get the low salt cottage cheese, that just takes away all the flavor.

I've found that Friendship 4% cottage cheese is amazing, but hard to find. I usually get Friendship 1% instead.

Breakstones fat free is my favorite. Throw in 2-3 Splenda packets, good amount of cinnamon, and devour!

Psssst. Go organic if you can. Even if you're not a believer, it usually tastes way better.

Full fat (4%) cottage cheese all the way for me. I lost my first 50lbs eating 1 cup of cottage cheese with fruit as my "go-to" work week breakfast.

Knudsens is good. Darigold is okay. Kroger is awful.

Like anything, some brands have lots of additives.

The best is the stuff you make yourself. It's easy. You won't believe the flavor of fresh creamed farmer cheese.
