Hi MFP community,
I thought since it is the season where many start eating more greens, I would post this. It is a recipe from The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose.
We absolutely LOVE this dressing! We were addicted to it!
It is great as a dip too!
Enjoy~
Makes 2 cups (16 - 2 tablespoon servings 105 calories per serving)
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (1 large lemon or 2 medium)
1 Tablespoon sea salt
1 Tablespoon dried chives (fresh is best if you can get them - I have also used scallions)
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried sage (I use savory instead of sage, both are delic!)
1 cup whole, raw macadamia nuts (soaked for 4 hours or overnight - rinse before using)
1/3 cup cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil (optional - use a good tasting, quality, fresh oil - this makes or breaks the dressing)
Soak macadamia nuts in manually warmed water for as long as possible to make the ranch smoother. Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until very smooth. add water to achieve desired consistency.
keeps for 1 week, refrigerated in an air-tight container

I had to sub out Thyme for the rosemary.. it is still delic! I changed my profile pic to show the results.. LOL
I chopped up some carrots used some as a dip!0
