fit bug steps

Ok so I have a fit bug orb and it doesn't sync to mfp to add steps... would you add them into your exercise tracking on here of just keep them as a general track that I can keep a eye on? x

Orb's steps don't transfer over, but the fitbug air's steps will (not sure why though). I have an orb also and I just keep an eye on my daily steps, but if I exercise I log it in MFP and (unless my orb doesn't realize I have exercised) I don't have to worry about logging it on the fitbug site. Food transfers over to fitbug from MFP though so you don't have to log that twice.0

Tbh I've not really looked on the fit bug site... will have to have a look!! I've been ding the same kinda thing really by just keeping a eye with the steps recorded and then adding extra exercises... just wondered what others view where in it x

The site is kind of cute (in a good way). It shows little charts and diagrams of how much you've eaten, or exercised, or sleep. How long have you had yours? I've had mine almost a month. It took me a couple days to figure out the sleep feature but other than that I really like it. The only thing I have to log is my circuit workouts cause I don't move around enough for it to register that I'm actually working out.0

I've had mine for nearly 2 maths yet and I do really like it but hate that it doesn't transfer the steps over.... I've noticed on your diary today that you have the fitbug adjustment! How did you get that to work x0

Go to Settings, Diary Settings, scroll down to Calorie Adjustments and check the box beside Enable Negative Adjustments.
Do wish it would transfer, and maybe they'll update it so that it will one day.0 -
Ok ill have a look and see if it works!!
It is the only thing that I find annoying about it, apart from that really good tracker x0 -
Steps should count toward your activity level. Be careful of adding steps as regular walking because even sedentary people get "credit" for some steps.
It's good to keep and eye on them and figure out your average. If you find that your average has increased, feel free to add those steps to MFP by increasing your activity level to the next level.0 -
Ok I've turned on the calorie adjustments and not I seem to have a +580 cal in the exercise section!! Confused?!?!?!0

And you didn't exercise, or walk a lot today? Fitbug may think you need to eat more. It might also be that Fitbugs calorie goal for you is different than MFPs and it's adjusting it to what it thinks it should be. Mine will adjust like that too sometimes.0
