hi all im starting 5.2 diet tomorrow can i do 2 b2b fast days then eat normally the rest of week tia x

    Hi, I think you can do 2 b2b fast days - one study (Christie hospital) said that the health benefits of fasting were increased if you did the fast days b2b. However the research from Michael Mosley suggested that b2b days was harder to accomplish so may not be able to maintain long term. I've just started the 5:2 diet so I thought I'd share what I'm doing if that's ok - I did a fast day yesterday and plan to do one tomorrow. I try to keep within my TDEE on my non fast days. I am walking for about 45 mins each day and hoping to walk 5 days per week. I'm not eating the exercise calories from the walking, I'm hoping they'll help me with the weight loss. I find using the food and exercise on here really helpful and motivating. I hope that helps. Good Luck :-)
