    I did 4 sets of 5 strict push ups and 1 set from the knees. Tough tough tough

    Push ups are typically thought of as an arm/chest exercise but rate really highly as an ab activation exercise. Kinda cool read. Article tries to debunk the weight training idea that you don't need to target the abs directly.

    Yesterday I lifted and snowshoed, today I ran and later will play volleyball.

    My method is adding it to my existing weight training routine which I do 4-5 days per week. You can do whatever you like. It's not that structured.

    Just the other day I was told how pushups are my friend if I want to rock it at Tough Mudder. I'm an absolute beginner at push ups (as in, I struggle to even keep a flat back and get all the way to the ground when I'm doing KNEE pushups!) You would think being a woman would give you that little cheat space for getting to the ground, but nope. Zero upper body strength here, and that needs to change! I'm down for giving this a shot! I'll start tonight when I get home from work! :)

    I'm working on getting back down to actual pushups. Went from counter down to chair arm rest at 20 now I'm down to the seat just gotta find something between seat and ground. Cinder block maybe?

    I'm doing counter push-ups. Moving down to knee push-ups after I can do 5 sets of 20 counter push-ups. It's part of Scooby's push-up program.

    I did my sets of 7 today. I'm still on track. I'm not sure if I am going to be able to do a set of 20 consecutively on day 30 but I'm hopeful. I am making progress because I have never focused on push-ups directly before. It feels good to improve on something that has always been a challenge.
  • Okay...fell off the push up bandwagon totally. I had a very stressful moment that really derailed me and just totally forgot. Starting over. (Love the "Earth Downs")!
