Sunny and 70 degrees here
We'll be wearing shorts Christmas Day

Well lets see. Kansas City saw Snow yesterday,
and when I left for work, traveling down icey streets.
it was all of 8 degrees.
Last night there was a LOADED school bus that did a 180 on the road taking the kids home from school.
I MISS Florida and will return somday soon.
    Gee, I WONDER WHY??!!??!!??

And that's probably the only thing I miss about Kansas. The below freezing cold weather. Although I have to admit Washington State is a beautiful state and I do have a good life here so I won't complain.

I have no response to this but

    :grumble:

My husband & I got married in November 5 years ago & took our honeymoon to Hawaii. The week we happened to be there happened to be the week that they were putting up Christmas decorations all over Waikiki. I've never seen anything funnier in my life than a Santa wearing a Hawaiian shirt leading a team of not reindeer, but dolphins. Christmas in Ohio is a "little" different.
  • The grass is always greener on the other side. lol.
I live in florida too. Lived here all my life. I would love for it to snow on christmas.

What part of FL? I live near Tampa.

It DID snow in the winter of '89, but the flakes melted as soon as they hit the ground. :grumble:

LA is no better than Florida  I will be wearing a sleevless dress this Christmas season. Stupid tropical climates. :grumble:

What gets me is that I live in Ohio & they still have sleeveless dresses GALORE for BABIES! My poor little 8month old baby girl has to wear layers b/c I can't find a decent long sleeved dress. Silliness.
  • Well, her in Costa Rica its kind of like both places...our "summer" runs Sept (more or less) to May, and it is sunny and warm, except during end of Nov, the whole month of Dec and part of Jan when we also have a really chilly wind coming from the North (you guys!). Then we have our "winter" which is from May-Sept which is typically rainy and hot. but sometimes its still November and we have a bit of rain. Right now our days are about 78 degrees and sunny with 60-65 degree windchill. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
