3 months ago until today was the last time I had McDonald's or any other fast food joint.. Before I could eat a Big Mac and a Jr. Chicken without thinking about it. Lately I have seen a commercial for a filet o fish and caved this afternoon while out with my mother HOLY CRAP did I ever feel like CRAP afterwards and the toilet (sorry for TMI) was my friend for awhile.
This is a NSV for me because before MFP I would easily stop for the convienence of it and have a burger for dinner, and feel great afterwards. Today this just reminded me of how well I have been doing and how I have adjusted to the right foods. I will not have fast food again.=)

Scale wise my weight loss has been fairly slow and steady (not complaining, although sometimes it is frustrating lol) I started JM's 30DS 11 days ago and have lost 5.5 inches thus far and starting to see definition. Just wanted to share cause I can =)

Thanks MFP friends for being so supportive=)

Yea for you Sugarbeans! I agree, I was forced to resort to some fast food when camping weather turned bad for cooking, and my body was NOT happy with me for like 2 days afterwards. No matter what you're used to at any point, if you start to improve your habits your body will get used to it and it will become a self-perpetuating thing, since your body will punish you when you go back to your old, bad ways. :)

I struggle with fast food, but since MFP I have been able to get online first to see calorie for different foods and go with the better options. If you look at McDonald's website they have a great nutrition finder. I still try to avoid as much as possible, but when I know I will be out or if I am really wanting it I turn to the websites first. One of my favorites is BK. I was really craving it one day so went to the website after seeing the calories I would be eating I quickly lost my want for it and went to subway instead! Great Job being able to avoid!

    Your welcome =)
I figured it was a healthier choice than a McChicken or a burger but it was a 410 Cal hit, 730 Sodium hit and I felt like crap afterwards.. the healthiest choice at McDonald's is nothing at all. lol.

Great NSV's and I hear ya on the giving in to the cravings (they're advertised for all the time if you watch what passes for tv these days) and then not feeling the best later... I still enjoy my Subway sub once in a while but haven't handled a fast food burger well in ages.
