hi guys! I'm looking for some snacks/foods that keep you really full for a while. I find myself always hungry and looking for something else to snack on.
Thanks!
Thanks!

What works for me is something with fat and protein in it. Nuts, string cheese, peanut butter, hummus, etc.0

If you are always hungry eat more foods that satiate you. Protein, fat and fiber should help.0

I think that's key. Most people that are dieting are terrified of fat. But it's in very healthy foods that satisfy the hunger craving.0

Being always hungry isn't normal. Do you have your weight loss goal set so aggressively that you're only eating 1200 calories (or netting less than that) per day?
As far as snack ideas my usual snacks are string cheese, protein bars, Greek yogurt and beef jerky.0 -

Drink water...repeat. Seriously it really helps0

How long have you been dieting? The first few days can be really tough.
I like to be able to eat large portions so I go for snacks like fat free popcorn. It definitely fills me up physically less than, say, nuts, but mentally I feel more full when I can eat a big bowl and that is the battle for me! I made some spaghetti squash - much larger portion for same calories as regular pasta.
The water thing really works too. If you are hungry, try drinking water and that may do the trick. I'm drinking a gallon a day and absolutely love it!0 -
You should not be hungry all the time you must be doing something wrong sorry. Yes the water thing is a good thing but maybe you could try more protein in your foods I personally use fat free Greek yogurt for my cravings. Or for more savoury tinned tuna both high in protein just a thought0

Are you eating at a healthy calorie deficit for your current body weight? Did you enter your information into MFP correctly?
It takes a few days even weeks to adjust to a new calorie deficit. If you are past that and are losing weight, then you need to decrease your deficit and eat more. You can lose weight without being hungry and miserable all the time!
If you are not losing weight and are still hungry then you need to look at the foods you are eating. And make sure you are measuring/logging correctly.0 -
Bulk up your meals with vegetables; that's what helps me. Half or more of my plate will be filled with vegetables. Last night I made taco salad, emphasis on the salad, dressed up with lean ground beef browned, 1 oz of cheese, and 2 tbsp of light creamy ranch dressing. Low cal, high satiety.0

Yoghurt, cheese, protein bars etc are all really filling, but sometimes I find I just want to be filled with a large AMOUNT of food, rather than a small amount of filling food. Lately I've been slicing up raw cucumber and carrot and bringing it to work with me in a big bowl and snacking whenever I feel hungry. If you eat one whole cucumber and one whole carrot it only comes in at 64 calories, and you don't even feel like you're restraining yourself.
I didn't find nuts by themselves great to snack on - they're filling and delicious but I found that even a small handful was coming in at hundreds and hundreds of calories - but lately I've been sprinkling a few raw nuts in with my cucumber and carrot (pecans, walnuts, raw cashews) as a kind of fatty surprise, which keeps me full and entertained but still within my limits.
