This evening I weighed myself and the scale went up 8 lbs more than the day before, so I try again. This time up 5 lbs more than before. Again 8 lbs up. I flip it over and the feet/ peg things were completely un level and unbalanced.... I have no idea how long it's been like this, so I pretty much have no idea how much I weigh. It is really upsetting and I am afraid that when I get a new one that it is gonna be much higher than I have been thinking that I weigh.

For months I've been terrified to get on the scale. Take a deep breath, and know that everyones here to hold your hand no matter what that number is.

    Yeah, that happens.

The best you can do is to get a scale that works and face reality. The scale does not tell you who you are, it just tells you how much you weigh.
