Advice on calorie intake with cardio

Hi All

Have a couple of questions reguarding colorie intake. Currently im taking in about 1300-1800 calories a day and workout about 4-5 times a week burning about 500 calories a time. Most of my day im usually sitting down except for the 45 min im working out . Does this sound good or should I be intaking more or less?

    It depends on what your daily goal is set to calorie wise. If you burn 500 calories on days you only eat 1300, your net is only 800. For a woman, it should be 1200. For a man, 1500.

    Thanks i was never really realized that you minus off the calories you burn during workout. But what if the majority of the day im sitting down and not doing anything active. It seems when I start to consume around 1500-2200 I start packing on the lbs.
