best cold remedies?

i've tried everything from meds, essential oils, detox baths, lots of water, hot tea, vitamins...etc...but can't seem to kick this lingering cold...
what's your go to remedy?

Fluids, rest. Maybe some paracetamol to help with aches/pains.

Well, the best you can do is try to improve your symptoms. Theraflu, cough drops, vicks vapor rub, and sudafed are all things that help me.
Take hot showers to break up the mucus.0 -

My sister always says that colds are "three days coming, three days with you, three days going, no matter what you do". As hollydubs85 said you can only treat the symptoms. What works for me is avoiding dairy, eating lots of hot peppers, ginger and garlic. I've found that fenugreek tea gives some relief, if you can stand the taste. Feel better soon.0

Colds last 7 days untreated, but if you treat them they only last a week.0
