Is anyone on a Gluten Free or FODMAP diet.
I have IBS and I am very new to the new diet.
Actually, it is a pain in the *kitten* but I am willing to make the changes.

I'm not, but a dear friend is. We, of her 'crew', are trying to learn it as well, as we all love food (and most of us have weight/health issues.) It is a dickens of a learning curve, but I know she feels *so much better* when she's following the low Fodmap. I use Bing for a search engine and typed in "low Fodmap" and bunches of links popped up for the diet suggestions, recipes and a lot of other stuff. If you need help, give me a holler and I'll assist as best I can. I'm wishing you bunches of luck with this new aspect for living, as it's definitely not easy, but you'll probably feel bunches better!0

I am gluten free with Celiac's Disease and Crohn's. I have been gluten free for over 10 years, should have been for a year prior to that but denied the diagnosis and kept getting sick. I have many recipes I can share. I can probably assist, what kind of information are you looking for?0

Been GF for 5 years. Pretty much got rid of my digestive issues. Removing other foods in the FODMAP diet doesn't do anything, although of course lots of beans can make me gassy and in the past I had issues with eating large portions of nuts and gas (I think due to them not being soaked first? Or the salt).
It hasn't been a PITA for me at all, but I eat all the GF store-made alternatives. I've had a few instances of gross alternatives, but most have been really good. I noticed no significant difference in pastas and now I don't even remember what would hav been different about the two types of pasta. Some brands make great bread - Dempsters has one now that I like a lot, Udi's, Kinnikinnick, WOW Baking Company, sometimes Glutino, make some good things. Grimm's has rice and corn GF soft tortilla shells.
What has been a PITA though lately is that I notice that whenever I toast my bread in the communal toaster I do get bloated, so I wonder if I've become more sensitive to the trace amounts too Sometimes some GF offerings still upset my stomach, like the Panago GF crust causes issues but Dominos, PIzza 73, and Boston Pizza here don't cause me any issues and they all taste good.
WHen I first started I printed off ingredient lists.. let me see if I can find it all...
(I should check this one over from my old list!) celiac.com/articles/181/1/Safe-Gluten-Free-Food-List-Safe-Ingredients/Page1.html

Thanks for all the info! I have been GF for about a year and at first I felt much better, but now I am having issues again and thinking about trying FODMAP diet.0
