Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis?

Has anyone ever tried Tracy Anderson's Metamorphosis? I just started, but am not feeling sore the morning after completing a workout. Is this typical? Has anyone else had the same experience?

I did the first few levels of Omni. I was amazed at how many inches I lost in that time, but I just couldn't continue with it. I got so bored with it. The only soreness I really got from it was in my abs. The first level is the easiest so you may not have any soreness from it. It does get progressively more difficult, and it does get results. I still do some of the MS workouts here and there when I want a low impact workout. I NEVER do her dance cardio.
My biggest fear with TA workouts is that I am sacrificing muscle for slimness. I am used to weights and more athletic type workouts and when I return to those after doing her workouts I feel weak. So now I concentrate more on weights and HIIT and use TA workouts intermittently.0 -

Watch out mentioning Tracy Anderson in the forum - there are a lot of strong opinions against her (with some validity) based on some of the dumb things she's said.
But Tracy Anderson Interview gaffes aside - I would consider myself a fan and have had favorable results. I've been doing it ~30 days now. I tried doing TAM a few months back - I did everything 100% to the book and I got super bored and ended up totally falling away from it. It just got monotonous and I found myself putting off or avoiding workouts, not good. This time around I decided to not make everything about Tracy and adjusted the program to suit my needs and keep myself motivated.
I chose the aspects of her method I really enjoyed and incorporate that into my overall workout routine. I love her ab routines, crazy hip hop wiggling ab moves, arm waving, and the tiny pink weight routines. I do the first 15 minutes of her videos, prior to the leg work, once or twice a day and I really enjoy it!
I have lost a solid 10-12 lbs in the last 30 days on my own program + partial TAM and and my arms and abs are looking better than they have in years, and certainly better than they did when I was not doing TAM and just exercising on my own. I keep thinking I should start doing her leg workout too... but I hated it so much I am going to hold off until I plateau and keep up with my kickboxing/step mill/running/body weight routine that I am currently enjoying.
If you have already invested in the DVDs, then figure out of you actually enjoy it. Like with any workout routine - if you have fun with it and it makes you feel good - you will probably be successful because you will actually stick with it.

Also - re: soreness.... that will come. I wasn't at first either but once you start really getting the motions down you will start to put more force and intention behind them (imagine soft punching in kickboxing vs. a real punch with some force and muscle tension behind it) and that will get you sore!0 -

I'm sorry, there are far more valid reasons to criticize Tracy Anderson than times she may accidentally misspeak.
What about her writing books championing chronic undernourishment and overexercise?
What about her 30-Day Method that suggests women work out 90-120 minutes and eat about 700 calories a day?
OF COURSE you'll lose weight if you work out for two hours and only eat half a grapefruit for breakfast.
What about the idea that muscles can become "long and lean"? These aren't gaffes, they're dangerous misinformation that encourages anorexia, fear, and weakness in women.
I choose to believe I don't need help to pick up a bottle of wine, and I'm not afraid to drink some, either.0 -

I have not read her book, but OP was asking about the Metamorphosis program with which I am familiar: I followed the diet (1600-2000 cals/day per my diary logging in MFP) and worked out for 1 hour/day doing some dance cardio, abs, body weight exercises, and using the tiny pink dumbells. Nothing unhealthy or malnourished happened, I just didn't really enjoy the full program long term.
I understand people hear Tracy Anderson and have a gut reaction, but perhaps listen to someone who used the program and continues to incorporate it daily rather than misinformed posts from MFP forums. I understand her method may not be for you, but hey, some of your workout style may not be for me. I'm still going to cheer you on doing your thing, and hitting your goals whatever they may be.
She definitely has some extreme methods that she uses with her celeb clients, but to be honest nothing I have seen of hers has been anywhere near unhealthy and my arms and abs are certainly responding well to her method so for me - I'm happy.
FYI - glad you like wine because Tracy actually incorporates it into her Meta diet plan - daily.1 -

Tracy Anderson isn't even recognized by any fitness organization. She's a self promoted "celebrity" trainer and probably part of the reason that some females fall in to eating disorders.
While I disagree with her training advice, I strongly suggest one doesn't follow her dieting advice.

Yeah, well, some recognized personal trainers have no idea what they are doing either. I was so excited to start working out with a personal trainer and I told I him up front about a knee injury I had in the past. Result? After doing his workout for a month that included "stabilization" for my knew, I had to wear a knee brace and could hardly walk without pain.0

I'm doing Hipcentric (Day 3). I feel great, with some soreness (the normal 'good' workout pain). I've done weights and aerobics before, and I like her method. Anyone also on this program, do add me as a friend! I work out daily and encourage...
What she says about weights: this is what some friends have experienced; if you don't keep up with lifting weights as a lifestyle, you get loose skin eg in your arms; this friend couldn't go to the gym daily (family responsibilities) and finally took up hour long walks daily, which restored her figure eventually.
Personally I have been doing an upper / lower split with dumbbells at home; my gut feeling was to go with yoga, callanetics and low impact after knee injury, and TA seems ideal.0
