I would probably stay away from licking the bowl. It's just empty calories and although it may be tasty, it is very difficult to log and just not worth it.0
-
but it has to be done: :P i still havent managed to avoid it. Its the tastiest part though!0

they don't count
 sounds good to me!0 -

Agreed :happy:0 -
I'd log as 1/8 to 1/4 a slice of cake depending on how much there is left in the bowl. It won't be accurate, but it'll be close.0
-
I do a lot of baking, so on days when I'm baking and tasting everything I usually quick add 100-200 calories, depending on the amount of tasting I do.0
-
No calories.
Just like Grandma's cooking.
(Just kidding, of course)0 -
 If you eat raw cake batter while standing up there are no calories because they fall straight through your feet0
-
Instead of licking the bowl, use a spatula and squeegee it all into a measuring cup. Then you'll know about how much is there. And then eat it with a spoon. Not that I've ever done this.0

Little things that make you smile that much dont count as long as you arent baking a cake every day lol0

You create a Food called "Cake bowl, licked" and become a legend on MFP.0

I cant see the calories content... maybe if you really want to be specific... log "cake" (whatever variety) and do like 1 12th of it.. maybe?0

Don't count. Nor do crisps stolen off the children. Or individual raspberries.0

Use a spatula then you won't have anything left to lick.0

When you take into consideration ALL the calories you burn (walking all over the kitchen, gathering ingredients/supplies, and all that MIXING, whew!), it's really a wash. So *technically*, you were at a calorie deficit before you even got to the bowl-licking.0
-
they don't count, don't worry about it!! haha:laugh:   :laugh:0

You are all AWESOME!! I decided that as it was more than just a little lick it must go in the diary. So I have logged it as 1/8 of 'rich fruit cake' (cos it was, very rich - for my parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary in July. making it now so can 'feed' it with rum!)

Neither does eating off someone else's plate.0 -
I so agree, although I am guilty of licking the bowl myself. LOL:laugh:0

It's weird. I can read this, but I don't know what it means.
cake batter is one of my favorite food groups.0 -
Weigh the bowl and spatula, then lick - the re-weigh! That's how much you ate.0

Yum Yellow cake is the best to eat lol0

I think I must be abnormal... I just don't get the 'licking the spatula/bowl' thing. Both my husband and son love it, but I'd much rather have the cooked cake... each to their own I suppose...0

Ewwww cake batter.
Now BROWNIE batter on the other hand.... I used to mix a bowl and just eat the batter. :blushing:0
