well yesterday was interesting, and this post may contain TMI so ....just a warning. I gave up sodas about 3 months ago now...I drink water nonstop. Well yesterday i started having pain and was passing blood clots in my urine and had awful pain in my back. Well here are the 2 "maybes" of whats wrong..1) kidneys stones from all the years of soda and now the water is flushing my body and 2) strenuous exercise jarring my bladder....LOL...what? this is what I get for trying to get healthy?? No matter, I'm determined to lose this weight if it kills me...but geez. Anyone else have any of these problems or are the doctors quacks??

Kidney stones have been linked to weight loss.

You should absolutely see a doctor. Back pain + blood clots in urine == something wrong with your kidneys. Seriously, take their advice. They trained for 4 years to help you :)

Sometimes things like this happen when you make changes in diet/lifestyle. I would guess kidney stones. If you don't like your doctor, get a second opinion but it doesn't seem too far fetched.

No, this isn't what you get from being healthy, what you get comes AFTER this, I.E. better health, but the only way to get there is to go through the process.

Look, if you DIDN'T stop doing the unhealthy things, you may not have experienced the uncomfortable transition period, but you also most likely won't live as long or feel as good later on, so is it uncomfortable going from unhealthy to healthy? Sure. Does it involve some hard work and difficult choices sometimes? Yes. But in the end, is it worth it for you to live healthier, be happier, and live a longer life with a far lower risk of sickness and disease? That's up to you.

From and RN with multiple urinary tract issues, it sounds like either kidney stones or kidney infection, get to the Dr asap. Feel Better and keep us posted:)

oh yeah I definitely want ..NO NEED to get healthy..Just scares me to see how I've treated my body and how its changing...may be painful now but I know it will be worth it in the end.
