I just started crossfit a month ago and really enjoying it. I decided to try the Open WOD's even though I still need better for on some of the lifts.... I'm sore as heck after the first workout! lol Just wanted to see if there were any other cross fitter's out there.

Yep, I did it Rx. Not my favorite as 75# snatches are way heavy for me.0

Fun to find some Crossfitters on here. This is my 2nd year doing the open. I'm not as strong this year because I took some time off, but I'm committed to doing the open and improving next year with some consistency. I did it RX and PR'd my snatch at 75# previous 1RM was 65#). I only did 2, but that was huge for me. How did you all do? Can't wait for the 15.2 announcement tomorrow night. Come on double unders!0

Way to go crossfitters!!! I did it for a year and a half, and loved it!! Unfortunately time restraints have made me stop...I wish you all the best of luck. My bestie does crossfit, so I live vicariously through her...0

Nice job dinsfamily! I am cringing on when they have chest to bar...I can do the kipping pull ups but for some reason can't get the chest to bar form.... double unders I got... bring it on!!0

I was not excited when I saw 14.2 come up again. I got 10 last year because I could not get a chest to bar. I tried that workout 3 times that weekend!
I just did it this morning and got my first ever chest to bar! A score of 13 RX is huge for me. That's what is great about the open! A friend of mine got a 4 last year (which was a PR for his overhead squat) and just scored a 27 this morning. We had a lot of fun in the gym today.
Good luck to all of you!0 -
Ha. I'm actually mad at this workout.
The OHS is no problem, but if I can get just one C2B I'll be happy. That would be a PR.0 -
That's exactly how I felt PRMinx. OHS were relatively easy. The key for me was to try different grips (tho I did that last year to no avail): regular, reverse, and mixed. Reverse is what worked for me.0

This is funny b/c I'm the opposite... my shoulders and flexability are not there yet for the RX OHS... so I had to do the scaled weight.. BUT. I can do chest to bar.... go figure...0
