Brand new to the site and excited to get started.

Is there any way to search for foods based on their nutritional qualities? I realized in logging my food today that I am sorely lacking in carbohydrates and fiber.

As an example of what I'm looking for: Could I search the database for foods with fiber above x grams and calories below a certain amount?

I think this would give me some new ideas to spice up the meals and boost the quality of my nutrition. I have taken the "hunt and peck" approach trying to come up with foods which I think fit the bill and plugging them into the database, but I feel like there has to be a better way.

Thanks in advance!

Not on MFP, but google is a useful tool ;). "What foods are low calorie, high fiber?" Good luck!

That would be pretty useful. Maybe shoot the suggestion over to the feedback section?
