Hey MFPs,
I was just wondering if any of you have had VelaShape, have looked into it, etc. I just got home from a consult--it was kind of an accident actually (I was at a fair, signed up at a booth like, "Yeah, I'd love to have less cellulite", and got a call a few days later).
I'm really nervous about doing anything like this--I know it's not like plastic surgery in that it's non-invasive, but it still feels like it is to me (because of the motivation for it). From what I can understand, it can also help boost weight loss. I want to stress that I'm NOT looking for an "easy way out" of losing weight. I've simply struggled with cellulite for years now, and would really like it gone--I'm probably actually going to wait for a year or so if I do decide to do the VelaShape treatment so that I have my diet and exercise under control (and am down to my goal weight or very near it).
Any thoughts, opinions, etc? Has anyone had any experience with this procedure?

never heard of it, but you got my attention! i'm thinking that when i get to my goal weight, i am still going to be covered in cellulite, so it's cool to hear that there is something out there to help with it. i'm also going to get my big honkin' varicose vein taken care of when i've maintained my goal for a year or so. hope someone has some answers for you!0

I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in this! You can check out American Laser Skincare--that's where I had my consult. They've got a little bit of information on their website. I'm just hoping to get some outside opinions.0

I use to work at a Dr's office that had a salon that offered this and it's safe. I can't really tell you much about it in detail because I never personally had it done. I did watch a session take place and it's non evasive and is not painful at all. (from what the patient said)0

Long story short...it supposedly changes the shape of cellulite which helps it appear smoother and may help it shrink.
Sorry, forgot to add that!0
