Okay, so has anyone tried acai juice? Somebody said you could lose, like 20 pounds in a week or something. I bought some Knudsen Acai Berry juice at the store today, and am curious what everyone's experiences with it have been. Thanks!

It's a tasty juice. It's got some vitamins.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
And no, drinking a bunch of sugary juice will NOT cause you to lose weight.
If it were me, and I'd already bought it, (I don't drink juice I eat fruit) I would incorporate it into some green smoothies.
It's not a magical weight loss tool. Enjoy the juice you bought.0 -

You can lose 20 pounds in a week by either dehydrating yourself severely (wrestlers do this to make a certain weight class), or by lopping off your arm. The only way to lose fat safely is through diet or diet and exercise. Acai berry is just an expensive form of antioxidants, so it has some nutritional value, but not anything special or magical.0 -

True. I'll keep that in mind.0 -
There is no unbiased clinical data that supports acai as a weight loss aid. It has antioxidants and other vitamins. Drink if you enjoy it, but like others have said it is not going to give you results unless you are cutting calories too.0

Don't listen to them, OP. Acai juice gave me super-strength, the ability to regenerate my limbs, and a new car. They're just trying to hide the truth.0

I find it amusing Acai is used to lose weight here. In Brazil most people don't eat it because it's very fattening. I don't really know about the nutritional contents though, but as everyone else recommended, the best way to lose weight is by watching what you eat and exercising. There really is no shortcuts.0

Except for lemon cleanses. Those things really work!0 -

As far as I know, when I lived in Brazil açai was avoided because it is rich in calories, as well as other good stuff...It's good and sweet, I even ate it sometimes instead of lunch, but nothing can do that miracle you expect.
