When I started working out, I used every The Firm vid I could get my hands on. I didn't find the instructors as annoying as Jillian Michaels. I have a HRM now, but I just counted the whole thing as cardio, usually about 1/2 of what MFP would estimate the burn was for the same amount of time.

I do the firm every other day. If the dvd is say 40 min and its one of the strength and cardio mix ones I add twenty minutes weight training and twenty min of cardio. Hth you

I track my Firm burned calories based on how many calories my Heart Rate Monitor said that I burned. I bought a VivoFit and it syncs with MyFitnessPal, and it automatically links up with each other and will indicate how many calories you burned. Calories burned all depends on the person; some burn more and some burn less. It all depends.

I love the FIRM, I've had it for about 8 years and now I am putting it to some good use. I use the TransFIRMer DVD's. I don't use the cardio one since I run. I log it as circuit training, it's hard to say because it's mostly strength training. I log it as circuit training under 100 calories for a 25min DVD. I figure it's about average since it does get your heart rate up there at times :)

I log it as circuit training as well. I have an HRM, but I use the TDEE method currently, so I just log '1' for calories.

Glad to see others still doing these workouts, which always give me the best results.
Hopefully someone will buy them and continue to put out dvds...

still using my firms as well. I've tried all the others like insanity, jillian michaels, etc but the firm is the end all be all because I know it works. There is also a firm facebook page called transfirm your body that posts monthly rotations and gives awesome support.
