Bread, bread, beautiful bread!

So bread has been getting a lot of hate for a while now.. but I just love it! I try to stick to the healthier options like Ezekiel or Joseph's.. but sometimes a girl just wants a nice squishy white dinner roll.
What's your take on the bread debate? Do you think it's ok as long as it fits into your calories/macros, or do you avoid it at any cost?

It's the same thing with anything really. Depends what else you're eating throughout the day and it depends how much bread you're eating. If you're getting enough fiber, protein, fat, and staying under your calorie goal, then you can eat however much bread you want and it's completely healthy for you.0

Yes. Bread is my friend. As are tortillas. Tortilla chips. Croissants. Yep carbs are good.0

Lol I don't even think I can live without bread. I think it should be perfectly fine as long as it fits into your calorie goal and it would be great if it fit into your macros. Carbs are friends you can't get rid of XD0

I'm fairly neutral on bread but my beef is the salt. Surprised how easily it takes daily sodium over the top.0

I eat mostly grain free. But I can't live without the occasional bagel!0

Baguettes and bagels are my weakness.0

Bread making is truly an art and after many many years I have found 2 bread makers and local where I have erected worship podiums for us grateful customers to weep from.0

I eat bread! But I just eat it in moderation. If I have a bagel thin for breakfast.. I skip a roll or white bread for the day. But I do eat one bready thing per day. Once a week I eat a real deli bagel and it's heavenly!0

Bread has always been my weakness, and I've been baking loaf bread and baguettes, even pita bread, for most of my life. But I know myself and my weaknesses, so I've stopped baking it. I have an English muffin every day (Bay's are the BEST), but if I had loaves of homemade French bread here, there's no telling what I'd do. So since it's Throwback Thursday, here you go...

Any and all kinds of bread is the best. Fits into my day, everyday.0

I actually bought a bread maker and make all kinds of breads on a regular basis. I must really hate bread. I love garlic and herb infused bread. Amazing with soups.0

Bread makes me crave everything that is bad for me. I rarely eat any bread/grains anymore. However, when I do want a splurge, I make sure I follow with eating a healthy dose of protein. This usually keeps my cravings in check.0

I think bread makes good sandwiches....0

@tinascar2015 ohhhh my goodness! My kryptonite.0

Danni, yeah, mine too, and it's even more heavenly when it's made into a stuffed Italian-sausage bread with cream cheese, garlic, Swiss cheese, Kalamata olives, roasted red peppers and sausage. I won't post that picture. That would be sheer torture. I make a dozen of those every Christmas for my husband to give as office gifts. He calls that bread his "job security".0

I make my own (got some baking right now), but I have drastically cut back the amount I eat, focusing more on protein and fat and vegetables. I usually have a slice a day, but that's about it, otherwise it just sucks up the calories which I can use for other food.0

I eat bread everyday. It's so good and I love it lol. I eat it multiple times a day.0

Like anything else, if it isn't eaten in moderation it can become a problem. But I loves me some carbs like nobody's business. I would choose bread over any other food in the world hands down.. just a plain loaf of wonderful, glorious, warm, soft, fragrant bread.
And maybe a stick of butter.0 -
I avoid it but mostly because I just don't think it adds any value to my meal because I don't really notice or care about the taste so why waste the calories/carbs? To be fair, I feel this way about a lot of foods. I eat it when it's REALLY good which doesn't happen often and then it's a treat - the rolls with cinnamon butter at Texas Roadhouse for example.0

I eat bread every day. Sometimes a couple times a day. It's not always "healthier" or lower calorie. Sometimes I put butter on it.
I do mostly avoid commercial white bread just because ew. it's so sweet it's almost dessert but not good like dessert. Give me some homemade white bread or a nice whole grain or sprouted whatever bread. Yum!
Doesn't matter as long as I stay in my calories.
Now I want some bread.....and it's raining. And I'm laying down relaxing....I wonder if someone can bring me bread0 -

Those rolls and butter are awesome. Mostly the butter ......

I actually eat bread everyday for my 'Meal 2'. 1 slice of organic Trader Joe's whole grain bread with a scoop of Natty PB. Fits perfectly with my macros. #DontFearBread0

I love bread, white bread doubly so. I eat bread everyday in some form.0
