Hi folks!
I just started My Fitness Pal this week, and I'm already loving the accountability of tracking my food and exercise. It would also be good to get to know a few of you so we can encourage each other in our journey toward health and wholeness. :-) My overall fitness goals are to be consistent, active, and disciplined. After I shed some of this weight, my hope is to start seriously training to do a triathlon. I have a bit of ways to go, but I'm really excited at the prospect of living up to my full athletic potential!

Thanks so much for saying hello, guys! I'm really a dancer at heart, so one of the things I look foward to is doing choreography that doesn't feel like it's going to kill me. lol.
Right now I've incorporated the following workouts: spinning, kickboxing, swimming/water aerobics, and I've been slowly doing strength training. I have a bike and I just started reading "Ride Your Way Lean" by Selene Yeager, a book that encourages folks to get outside and shed unwanted pounds by picking up one of the pastimes from our childhood. One of my biggest issues has been discipline and consistency (I've been through several seasons of weight loss, only to find myself gain the weight back). It's been really good to do these work outs that I love so that exercising isn't a chore, but something I look forward to each day.0
