I'm Ready!!!!!

I have joined this group in January hoping to lose the extra 40 lbs I have gained since I quit smoking but never really stuck with it. Actually that's the story of my life - I never stick with anything and get bored quite easily.
Today after eating my lunch which was an order of poutine (Cheese, gravy & fries) I felt horrible -This is when I decided that no matter what I am going to lose weight and get fit again.
So with your help and encouragement my journey begins............

  • I've decided that it's a mind over matter thing for me. My motivation is when I look in the mirror. I don't like what I see. I make sure to look at myself often so I stay focused! Find what motivate you and keep that in your thoughts when you ordering your food. In the past I've had a very hard time sticking to a diet but I'm more determined than ever to stick it out. Together we can do this. :smile:

    hey, it's never EVER the wrong time to do the right thing and congratulations on making such a fantastic and important lifestyle choice!

    I am a serious junk food addict and vowed after seeing my friends on the beach that I couldn't take off my t shirt out of sheer embarrassment.

    Be focused and stay positive and believe in becoming better...this is a process and stick with it, you will make it for sure!

  • This seems to be a great place to get motivation. I just joined today and I really love reading all of the post. I had a weak moment at lunch today and I know I have to do better tomorrow. I just hope I can go home and hit the treadmill tonight instead of the couch. Good luck!!

    una, if possible go for a walk outside!! i have a gym membership which i am going to cancel. fresh air definatley provides a better oxygen mix than the stale smelly gym smell :-)
