Okay so I'm 5'3 195 lbs 1200calories/day ... Yes I know. I know how to loose weight, I've been here before have worked out and lost over 40lbs. I just want to do it the right way.

How do I know what % of fat, sugar, protein etc. I should be taking in?

I workout at least 3x week and 1x week would be weight training.

Set up My Fitness Pal correctly and it should tell you a generally accepted number calories and macro breakdown per your information. If you have specific medical needs or are working out intensely, then you may need to tweak things. Otherwise just follow MFP. If it really gives you a 1200 calorie level, make sure you are eating back your exercise calories. You should not net below 1200.

There really isn't a "Right" way. It's just what works best for your body and lifestyle. That said, Focus on Protein fats a carbs and calories and don't worry about the rest for now, unless you have other more specific goals.

Aim for .8-1gram of protein per pound of lean body mass you have, Carbs and fats take a lesser priority, and those you can play around with to figure out what works best for your body.

Ok well I think I did set it up right, I just kept hearing lots of people say to eat more or less protien, sugars, fat etc. So thought there was a specific amount to eat...

Most people, especially beginners, are just eating within or to their calorie target. However the macros go is how they go. And you'll lose just fine this way, whether you are over or under macros.

But say you're REALLY hungry at a certain time of day, or feeling really fatigued, or not having enough energy for workouts. Maybe you just up your calories (set a less aggressive goal). Or maybe you look at your macros. If you're eating 1200 cals of Lucky Charms, you will lose weight but might not feel so good.
