trouble syncing my Misfit Flash

I have recently purchased a Misfit Flash which I am LOVING! Inexpensive, and does a great job tracking sleep and steps. What my issue, and I am curious if anyone else has had the same, is that when I try to sync the Misfit to MFP it either seems to circle back from one app to the other with no syncing, or when it does "sync" it does not log my progress in MFP. Help?
