Ok, so example from today...
I ate 800 in calories. I can eat up to 1300 calories today. I worked out and burned 200 calories. After working out I have 700 calories left now instead of 500 for the day. Do I need to eat that 700 to lose weight the fastest/best or can I just eat that 500? What is the best/right thing to do? I am confused on exercise as exercise is a new thing for me lol.

Your NET calories (on your home page) should be as close to the daily goal MFP set for you as possible.
Your REMAINING calories (on your homepage and food diary page) should be as close to zero as possible.
MFP builds in a deficit for you based on the information you gave it: height, weight, lifestyle, goal weight loss, etc.. All you need to do is follow the calorie goals it gives you.
So yes... eat those calories.0 -

Your body needs a certain amount of calories (energy/fuel) to survive each day... if you work out, your body will require MORE calories... and if you don't give your body the extra it needs, it will think you are starving it and HOLD ON TO what you have... so you won't lose if you don't have enough or don't add when you work out. The trick is to not have TOO MANY calories. If you calories left over - your body stores those as fat!
Good luck!0 -
