Kitchen Scales

I have hit a serious plateau and despite recording well, eating 1200 calories a day, and exercising 6 days a week my weight has pretty much been at a standstill.
I know many here say a food scale is really vital, but I'm not sure how to use one with cooking or measuring, what to look for in one, ect.
How did you all get started with a food scale?

These are two really fantastic posts that I think are a great 101-level start to food scales and logging accurately.

Hi:
Follow Dianne's advice.
I started with a basic analog food scale I bought at a supermarket. It only cost $6. It was invaluable. I found out that I was eating almost double the calories I thought I was eating by just eyeballing the ingredients.
I recently bought a beautiful digital scale, $ 27 at Williams Sonoma. Works like a charm
Good luck in your healthy journey0 -
We make sure to weigh each individual ingredient when cooking. They are really the simplest things to use. Put the food on the scale and it gives you the weight. Digital scales you can change to different measurements like ounces, ml, fl oz, grams.

I am still on the fence about it honestly. Because this sounds like a lot of effort and I cook every single meal at home.0
