I've tried to lose and maintain weight loss for 30 years but only since realising I have an illness (compulsive overeating) have I managed to release the excess weight and maintain my weight. I'm 5ft 4 and now weight 9st 4 (130 pounds). I've maintained this weight for 4 weeks now, and continue to maintain it.
Can anyone relate?

Yes! I'm a woman but I've always had the "appetite of a man," as they say! Up until I was married, I could eat everything and remain thin. I used to buy two trays of food in high school and wipe out a large bag of Doritos when I got home.

My father told me his metabolism halted around 25 and I should watch out. I got to 138 that first year of marriage and felt like a whale. I got it back off doing Atkins and then I got preggo. Five kiddos later and I'd think I was a supermodel at 138!!!

I'm not really a snacker - I just like a large portion! I have a hard time with portion control and six mini meals seem like a tease! You are my height and have done so well to get to 130! My goal is to get to 120 or 125.

Yes, the big appetite is hard!!!

That's interesting! I don't have a huge appetite, but before I was treating my overeating illness, I would spend most evenings grazing and I'm addicted to sugar, so I couldn't eat a cookie...I'd eat the whole bag. Now I don't touch sugar and don't eat between meals.
